During the creating process of making soy candles and tart melts we look at our supplies. The tools of the trade. I love using fry daddy’s as the base tool. This will be my double boiler system. The fry daddy holds the water, and then I use a convenient pouring pot to hold the wax.
You need to make sure to know what the heat limitations are for your wax, fragrances and color dyes. Each fragrance has a different spark point as does each type of wax. Paraffin wax generally has a higher melting point than soy wax.
Remember to use a thermometer to guage your wax temperature during the melting process and also while you add the color dye and fragrance.
